Turid Rugaas is an
internationally renowned trainer and writer who has devoted her life to
dogs, their behaviour and their well-being.
After a project where Turid and a colleague observed dogs carefully,
recording their behaviour on video and in photographs, she became recognised
around the world for her work on the calming signals. Turid is now one of
the world's leading experts on dog behaviour, notably "calming signals"
which are signals dogs give to other dogs and humans to denote stress and to
attempt to defuse situations that otherwise might result in fights or
aggression.
As well as aspiring dog trainers and behaviourists, this
seminar is aimed towards any dog lovers who wish to gain a better insight
into the very important and misunderstood aspects of canine communication.
Over the two days, Turid will explain and demonstrate how
to better understand the subtle techniques your dog uses to communicate with
other dogs and with you. She will teach you handling skills aimed to give
you better control of your dog regardless of size or breed. Turids
teachings are devoted to treating the dog with kindness and respect. |
