Patricia B. McConnell, Ph.D. is an Ethologist and Certified Applied Animal
Behaviourist who has consulted with cat and dog lovers for over twenty
years. She combines a thorough understanding of the science of behaviour

The first day of the Seminar
will focus on the most common context of dog-dog and dog – human aggression
related problems. Attendees will benefit greatly from the wealth of
knowledge that Patricia has to share on the subject along with learning
about the employment of safe and effective techniques aimed at restoring
calm and balance to both dog and handler. As one of the world’s leading
experts on canine aggression Patricia will deliver a unique opportunity for
those in the field of dog training to enhance their skills and further their
understanding & approach when working with this type of behaviour.
The second day will be based on one of her books
‘FOR THE LOVE OF A DOG: Emotions in You & Your Dog, and How they Affect
Training and Relationships’. This book has been hailed as Patricia’s
greatest written work to date. Prepare to listen to her passionate, funny
and witty presentation on the fascinating subject of canine emotions with
real case studies which will bring you to a new level of understanding and
communicating with the dog.

The Seminar will be held
at Napier University's new state-of-the-art Craiglockhart Campus,
Edinburgh.
The campus is located 15 minutes from the city centre of
Edinburgh and boasts excellent transport links to nearby hotels, bars and

road
From the north or south take the city bypass to Dreghorn Junction.
Follow the Dreghorn Link and turn left at the mini roundabout onto
Redford Road. At the end of Redford Road
turn right onto Colinton Road and continue to the roundabout. Turn left
at the roundabout and follow Colinton Road to the traffic lights, turn
right onto Glenlockhart Road and Craiglockhart Campus is on your right
hand side.
